記録的となるおよそ１７００万人が空港を利用すると予想された今年のレバーデーの連休ですが一部で天候が悪化したことから飛行機の遅延にストレスの限界を感じられた方も多いのではないでしょうか。乗客で満員のある機内で、遅延の上に機体の乗り換えが必要だと伝えられ苛立ちがマックスに達していたところあるグループが立ち上がりました。

「（別の席にいた）仲間に会いに行ったら 

キャビンの雰囲気からみんなの苛立ちが感じられたよ」 

「だからバンドメンバーと話して『やろう！』ということになったのです 

楽器を取り出して一曲披露したんだ」

I go back to say hello to all of my comrades. And you could just feel the energy. Everybody was so frustrated.  

So I talked to Marcus and the other guys and we said, okay, let's do this. And we got our horns out and we played a song.

機内は緊迫を押し殺す空気だったのに一瞬で楽しい時間になったのです」 

“you know, lifting the passenger spirits, lifting our spirits,” 

“you could feel the tension on the plane kind of suppress and it just became an enjoyable moment." 

ただ、演奏しながらもデーブさんの脳裏には一つ心配事が．．．

問題になってメンバー全員逮捕されるのではないかと心配しました 

幸運なことにそうはなりませんでした」 
「音楽が乗客全員の心を取り戻したのです」

"So it was loud. So I thought in the back of my mind we're going to get in trouble and an air marshal is going to come in and arrest all of us. So that really was in the back of mind. Fortunately, that didn't happen." 

"This just brought everybody back to humanity.
